A World Without Danger

Sissy and her cronies fled the scene when they heard the meeting coming to a close. Even though they weren't there, Jeremie still knew she had something to do with the situation.

"My guess... Sissy. If she saw Aelita in the cafeteria, she would've contacted her father with the news. She would do anything to make our lives miserable," he stated.

"Ugh!" Ulrich groaned. "Sissi. I should have figured."

"Sissi?" Aelita asked. "Who's that?"

"Someone who just loves to get us in trouble all the time..." Ulrich replied.

"She's the definition of a spoiled brat," Kione added.

"What are we going to do about her?" Odd asked.

[Corencio]

"Well," Jeremie thought, "we can either confront her about the rumor and try to make her back off, or we can do what we always do and avoid her like the plague."

((Hmmm. I've got a plan for a XANA attack, but I should probably save it for tomorrow, since these guys have already dealt with enough problems today. It's time for the Lyoko gang to head for bed, I think.))

"I'd say avoid her like we always do," Kione pipped in. "Besides, that XANA attack really wore me out. I know I'm personally ready for bed."

"Yeah, and I have to get heading back home," Yumi replied. "Its not often that I can be home when I'm supposed to be so any chance I get, I'd like to take it."

"Wait!" Odd suddenly exclaimed. "Where's Aelita going to sleep? I don't think Jim or Mr. Delmas is going to be too keen on Aelita sharing a room with Ulrich and me."

"She can always go to my house," Yumi suggested.

"Or she can stay in my room," Kione also suggested. "I have a spare bed. And besides, I think Aelita should get used to living in the dorms if she's going to stay."

"And Einstein is going to want her close!" Odd added. A flush appeared across Aelita's cheeks but the group pretended to ignore it.

Yumi smiled. "Alright. Well I'll see you guys before classes tomorrow!"

"Bye Yumi," a chorus of voices rang out. Ulrich watched as she walked away before turning back to the others.

"Alright..." Ulrich started. "So time for bed?"

Jeremie blushed at Odd's comment, as well. Fortunately, no one seemed to notice.

"Time for bed," Jeremie agreed. "See you guys in the morning." He wandered off toward his dorm, imagining all the wonderful things they could show Aelita tomorrow.

"Night Jeremie," Aelita said in reply.

Odd and Ulrich turned to Aelita. "Sleep tight Princess!"

"How does some sleep tight?" Aelita asked confused.

Kione shook her head and smiled. "It's only an expression. It means sleep well. Come on, I'll show you to my dorm and where you can sleep."

For once, Jeremie was actually able to sleep soundly. He knew that Aelita was safe in Kione's room, and not at XANA's mercy.

The next day, he met his friends outside the cafeteria. He threw a small smile at Aelita and listened to the group's chatter.

Aelita smiled back as she and Kione met up with the boys.

"So, how did you sleep?" Ulrich asked as they made their way inside for some breakfast.

"Wonderfully!" Aelita replied.

"Yeah and she was worse to wake up than Odd," Kione replied with a small smile. "I thought I'd never get her up!"

"Hey! I can't help it if I sleep deep when I'm getting my beauty sleep!" Odd retorted.

"Beauty sleep?" Ulrich asked with a snicker. "Is that what you call it? Man I think you need to sleep for another 7 years!"

Kione and Aelita couldn't help but giggle as they made their way to the tables.

"So, what are we going to do today?" Ulrich asked as he glanced over at Jeremie. "Anything special you want to show Aelita?"

"Hmmm..." Jeremie mused. "I suggest the nice, safe computer lab." He wanted to show Aelita a few program ideas he'd been working on, but he also figured that Sissi would be least likely to show up there.

"How boring!" Odd whined but Aelita smiled.

"I'd like that. I'd like to see the base of operations in person," Aelita replied with a small smile.

"Alright well since its Aelita who is the guest here I guess she gets to decide," Ulrich replied. "So its settled."

"Right, we'll just wait for Yumi and be off!" Kione responded. After a few minutes Yumi finally showed up.

"Hey Aelita! How was your first night here on earth?" she asked the pink haired girl.

"It was wonderful," the girl replied.

"Hey Yumi we're heading to the factory," Ulrich told here. "Aelita wants to see it."

"Sounds good to me," Yumi replied. "You guys finished?"

"Yeah," Kione answered. "Let's get out of here."
